Two automatic casting complexes for Russian Railways products have been commissioned in St. Petersburg

As part of an import substitution project, two YIZUMI casting complexes were delivered, based on casting machines with a 400 ton casting force. The main products of the company are details of the interiors of passenger wagons and elements of driver cabins. The design capacity of the complex is over 1 million finished parts per year.

Key features of the casting complexes:

• Casting force: 400 tons;
• Cycle time from melt input to casting placement on the finished product conveyor: 45-48 seconds;
• Capacity of one complex: 1,200 castings per shift;
• Fully automated process using industrial manipulators;
• To save space and ensure continuous production, a solution with a holding furnace and a tilting melting furnace on a pedestal was used for each complex.

The implementation of this project has created new jobs and established production of products previously supplied from abroad, reducing the share of imported products in domestic railway equipment and opening up opportunities for further growth.
