An automatic high-pressure casting complex has been put into operation at Russia’s largest automotive industry enterprise

As part of a project to localize automotive components, a fully automated YIZUMI casting complex based on a casting machine with a clamping force of 1,200 tons was delivered and commissioned. The casting complex is designed for the production of complex aluminum alloy castings with high quality requirements in molds equipped with vacuum and thermostatic systems.

Key features of the casting complex:

• Clamping force: 1,200 tons;
• Total cycle time: no more than 90 seconds, including casting cooling and gating system removal;
• The complex’s capacity is at least 800 castings per day;
• Fully automated casting production is achieved through the use of two industrial manipulators and one Kuka industrial robot, as well as the integration of all peripheral devices into a single casting complex control system.

This equipment made it possible to increase the plant’s production capacity and localize the production of new components for the automotive industry.
