Started-up the first in Russia green sand moulding line KUTTNER SAVELLI with 2 flask sizes
Client: JSC Altaivagon
The project started on 21.07.2014
21.07.2014 at JSC Altaivagon (Rubtsovsk) started-up an automatic molding line KUTTNER SAVELLI (Italy) for the production of the range of medium railway castings (axle box body, automatic coupler case, stops, traction clamp). Flask size on the line 1400×1100×250/250 (500/500) mm, output of the line 65 full moulds per hour. The line was delivered with the unit for the preparation of the mixture capacity 160 tons per hour.
The uniqueness of the automatic molding line KUTTNER SAVELLI (Italy) is the work sequentially with two different sizes of flasks: 1400×1000×500 / 500 mm and 1400×1000×250 / 250 mm).
To reduce the cost for manufacturing a big amount of expensive flasks on the line, a system of combined cooling of castings is used — in flasks and metal jackets, which increase the cooling time of castings in a mould mixture. The moulding method — the method of double mould squeezing FormImpress — provides the production of an automatic molding line of consistently high quality. Mould pouring is carried out from a 8-ton stopper ladle, located in the pouring portal. The pouring portal is equipped with weighing sensors, electronically controlled positioning and locking the ladle above the flasks and with visualization of the positioning and process.
This project is also unique in that it was carried out in working foundry with the holding of the production volumes.
