Start-up of the OTTO JUNKER melting plant MFT 2×4000 tons at JSC TWP

13 of December 2012, the JSC Tverskoy wagon building plant (Tver, CJSC TRANSMASHHOLDING) started-up a melting plant produced by OTTOJUNKER (Germany) type 2MFTGe 4000-SC-DUOMELT.

Melting plant consists of 2 crucible furnaces with a capacity 4000 kg each, with an independent power supply 3000 kW, with closed circuit cooling system, as well as with 2 charging devices for automatic charging of the scrap. For the operation of the furnaces, the DUOMELT power distribution system with a common furnace cooling circuit is used, which allows to smoothly distribute energy between the furnaces using all the potential inherent in the equipment.
