Start up at JSC MPRR second phase of OTTO JUNKER melting plants
Client: JSC Magnitogorsk Plant of Rolling Rolls
The project started on 14.07.2016
The commissioning of new equipment will make it possible to melt complicate alloyed alloys for new types of products, reduce the consumption of ferroalloys and charge materials (decrease of production costs on 10%). Also, energy consumption will be reduced for 10%. Due to the rational loading of melting furnaces of various capacities (4, 6, 10 and 20 tons), the production process will be optimized.
Now it is possible to maintain a melting mode with a frequency of 250 Hz, alloying and mixing at a frequency of 125 Hz. The environmental aspect was also of great importance — harmful emissions from melting in modern OTTO JUNKER (Germany) furnaces decreased in 2.6 times.
New medium frequency crucible induction furnaces OTTO JUNKER (Germany) are equipped with modern equipment that provides full automation of melting (cold start in automatic mode, melt without human factor). Managing of the melts is carried out both in manual and automatic modes. The furnace interface provides access to all parameters of the current state of all units, and also provides control over the technology for maintaining the melting mode.
