Start-up of the OTTO JUNKER melting plant MFT 2×3000 tons at JSC KMZ

In April 2019, the JSC Kamsky Motor Plant (Naberezhnye Chelny) started-up a melting plant produced by OTTO JUNKER (Germany).

Melting plant consist of 2 crucible furnaces with a capacity 3000 kg each, with an independent power supply 2400 kW, with closed circuit cooling system, as well as with 2 charging devices for automatic charging of the scrap. For the operation of the furnaces, the DUOMELT power distribution system with a common furnace cooling circuit is used, which allows to smoothly distribute energy between the furnaces using all the potential inherent in the equipment.
