JSC VKM-STEEL started-up STEM shotblasting machine

JSC VKM-STEEL (Saransk) commissioned a shot blasting machine STEM (Slovenia) for blasting of large steel railway castings “side frame” and “bolster”. The shot blasting complex cleans the inner and outer surfaces of the castings from sand and scale.

The working size of the chamber (WxH) is 2.000 x 3.000 mm. The machine is equipped with an automatic monorail conveyor with 8 rotating hooks, hook load capacity 2,500 kg. The shot blasting machine was delivered in complex with a dust collector type CDR-28, providing at the output of the filter air with dust content not more than 5 mg / m3. The commissioning of the shot blasting machine STEM (Slovenia) greatly facilitated the work of the heat-treating department of JSC VKM-STEEL.
